a With feeler gauge C inserted, turn adjustment
screw (16) until the feeler gauge C can move
lightly to adjust adjustment screw (16).

table for engine".
3. While fixing adjustment screw (16), tighten lock
nut (17).
Lock nut (17):
39.2 to 49 Nm {4 to 5 kgm}
a After tightening lock nut (17), check the valve
clearance again.
4. After finishing the adjustment, remove the
testing tools, and restore the machine.
Cylinder head cover mounting nut:
7.8 to 9.8 Nm {0.8 to 1.0 kgm}
