Foreword, safety and general information
High-pressure water entering connector
The connector is designed to make it difficult for
water to enter (drip-proof structure), but if high-
pressure water is sprayed directly on the
connector, water may enter the connector,
depending on the direction of the water jet.
Accordingly, take care not to spray water over
the connector.
The connector is designed to prevent water from
entering, but once water does enter, it is difficult
to drain it. If water should get into the connector,
the pins will be short-circuited by the water. So if
any water gets in, immediately dry the connector
or take other appropriate action before passing
electricity through it.
Entry of water, mud or dirt when disconnecting a
connector
If any water, mud or dirt is stuck to the outside
surface of a connector, it can enter inside the
connector when the connector is disconnected.
Before disconnecting the connector, wipe off any
stuck water or dirt by using a piece of dry cloth
or blow it with compressed air.
Oil, mud or dirt stuck to connector
If any oil or grease is stuck to the connector and
an oil film is formed on the mating surface of the
male and female pins, the oil prevents electricity
from passing through, resulting in defective
contact. If any oil or grease, mud or dirt is stuck
to the connector, wipe it off with a dry cloth or

a When wiping the joint portion of the
connector, be careful not to apply excessive
force or deform the pins.
a If there is oil or water in the compressed air, it
causes the contacts to become dirtier. So,
remove the oil and water from the
compressed air completely before cleaning
the connector with the compressed air.

Disconnecting connectors
1. Hold the connectors when disconnecting.
Disconnect connectors by holding the
connector bodies. For the connectors held by
a screw, loosen the screw fully, then hold the
male and female connectors with each hand
respectively and pull them apart horizontally.
For the connectors with lock stopper, press
down the stopper with your thumb and pull
the connectors apart.
a Never pull the connector with one hand.
2. When removing from clips
Both of the connector and clip have stoppers,
which are engaged with each other when the
connector is connected.
