Unlocking easy800 deactivates password protection. You can reactivate
password protection later via the Password menu or by switching the supply
voltage off and on again.
The function of an area is accessible if a password is entered to
unlock an area. All other functions protected by this password
are now also unlocked.
The procedure to unlock the configuration or parts of it is always the same.
▶ Press OK to enter the main menu. The PASSWORD... menu item will
flash.
▶ Press OK to enter the password entry menu.
If easy800 shows the PROGRAM main menu instead of
PASSWORD, this means that no password protection is active.
The easy800 device shows the password entry field.
▶ Set the password using the cursor buttons.
▶ Confirm with OK.
The easy800 device will automatically return to the status display if the
password is entered correctly.
The PROGRAM menu option is now accessible so that you can edit your
circuit diagram.
The System menu is also accessible.
▶ Unlock the easy800 device as previously described.
▶ Press DEL and ALT to call up the System menu.
▶ Open the password menu via SECURITY... -> PASSWORD...->
CHANGE PW.
The CHANGE PW entry flashes.
The easy800 device only shows this menu if a password is already assigned.
▶ Press OK to enter the password entry menu.
▶ Press OK to move to the 6-digit entry field.
The current password will be displayed.
