Avoid unforeseeable switch states:
Only use each function block coil once in the circuit diagram.
If you use one of the inputs I1, I2, I3 or I4 as a counter input
for the counter function block CF, CH or CI, they cannot be
used for other purposes.
If an input I1 ... I4 is used several times, only the high-speed
counter is run that is positioned last in the order of
processing in the function block diagram.
Parametric programming of the function block inputs/outputs
When using the function block in the circuit diagram for the first time, use
OK to automatically enter the general display of function block parameters,
as shown in the figure on the left. Enter the function block settings here.
The display contains the following elements:
Function block: Frequency counter, number 01
CF01
Parameter display: Call not enabled
-
Upper setpoint: 0 - 5000 Hz
>SH
Lower setpoint: 0 - 5000 Hz
>SL
Current frequency value in RUN mode: 0...5000 Hz

Inputs
SH und SL: The upper and lower limit setpoints are set at SH and SL
respectively. The function block inputs >SH and >SL can have the following
operands:
Constant.
Markers MD, MW, MB.
Analog inputs IA01 to IA04:
IA01: Terminal I7.
IA02: Terminal I8.
IA03: Terminal I11.
IA04: Terminal I12.
Analog output QA01.
Output
QV of a different function block.

QV: The output CF..QV outputs the actual frequency at the counter input as
an integer. You can assign the following operands to output
Analog output QA01
Markers MD, MW, MB
Retention
The frequency counter does not have any retentive actual values since the
frequency is continuously remeasured.
