Removing the dust protection cover
NOTICE
Damage caused by deposits of chips and dust
Chips and dust deposits can damage the drive.
The dust cover protects the drive from dust and chips. Therefore, remove the dust protection
cover just before commissioning the drive.
NOTICE
Overheating during operation with installed dust protection cover
When the drive is operated with an integrated dust protection cover, the drive can overheat
and be damaged.
Remove the dust protection cover prior to commissioning the drive according to the following
description.
NOTICE
Operation with bags of desiccant
Five small bags of desiccant are located inside the drive. The small bags of desiccant are
marked with a red adhesive label. The drive can be damaged if operated with these small bags
of desiccant.
Remove the small bags of desiccant immediately before commissioning the drive.

Tools required

To remove the dust protection cover you will need the following tools;
● Flat-nose pliers
● Side cutter
● Torx screwdriver, size T30
● Wrench, width across flats 13 mm
