5.10 Removing the dust protection cover

Connect the re-cooling unit
Connect the deionized water circuit of the re-cooling unit to the deionized water piping of the
drive. Refer to the associated information about the ionized-water connections in the dimension
drawing.

NOTICE
Deposits of chips and dust
Chips and dust deposits can damage the converter.
The dust cover protects the converter from dust and chips. Therefore, remove the dust
protection cover just before commissioning the converter.
NOTICE
Overheating during operation with installed dust protection cover
When the converter is operated with an integrated dust protection cover, the converter can
overheat and be damaged.
Remove the dust protection cover prior to commissioning the converter according to the
following description.
NOTICE
Operation with bags of desiccant
Five small bags of desiccant are located inside the converter. The small bags of desiccant
are marked with a red adhesive label. The converter can be damaged if operated with these
small bags of desiccant.
Remove the small bags of desiccant immediately before commissioning the converter.

Tools required

To remove the dust protection cover you will need the following tools;
● Flat-nose pliers
● Side cutter
● Torx screwdriver, size T30
● Wrench, width across flats 13 mm
