Attach supply voltage

• The level of the supply voltage for the
UMG511 should be taken from the label.
• After applying the supply voltage, the text
"Janitza" appears in the display. Approx. 2
seconds later, the UMG511 switches to the
first measurement value display.
• If the display does not appear, it must be
checked whether the supply voltage is
within the nominal voltage range.

Caution!
Supply voltages that do not corre-
spond with the details on the label,
can lead to functional errors and the
device being destroyed.
Commissioning
Apply the measurement voltage
• Voltage measurements in networks with
nominal voltages above 500VAC against
earth must be connected using voltage
converters.
• After connection of the measurement volt-
ages, the measurement values displayed
by the UMG511 for the voltages L-N and
L-L must match those at the voltage meas-
urement input.
• If a voltage converter factor is programmed,
this must considered in the comparison.

Caution!
The UMG511 is only suitable for
measurement in networks in which
overvoltages of the overvoltage cat-
egory 600V CATIII occur.

Caution!
The UMG511 is not suitable for meas-
uring DC voltages.
