Graphics Engine Function
The Graphics Engine is responsible for converting the incoming control commands into the video signal being sent out
the DVI connector. It also applies all live effect, organizes the video content and functions as the video source for all
attached displays. These incoming commands can be transmitter over a DMX link, or via an Ethernet link containing Art-
Net information.
The organizing principle of the graphics engine is the Graphics Layer which lives inside a Global 3D world. There are up
to 9 graphics layers that can video content can be displayed upon. By default the content is displayed on a flat plane,
there are other 3D objects that can be used to display the content upon.
For the 2D or 3D object which is displaying the video file, manipulation options include:

Object Position in 3D space
•
Object Rotation
•
Object Scale
•
Object Transparency.
The video file that is being displayed on the Graphic Layer object can be manipulated as well, these
include:
•
Playback Mode
•
Playback Speed
•
Visual Effects in which Layer Effect are applied
•
In-Frame and Out-Frame
•
Synchronization Source or Target
•
Audio Source for output.
The Global 3D world in which the Graphics Layers exist can be manipulated as well. Global controls
include:
•
Adjust the composite image intensity level
•
Apply visual effects to all layers
•
Select a mask shape, size it and apply edge fades and color to the mask
•
Control keystone correction
•
Control framing shutters
•
Apply a Warp to geometrically alter the 3D space in which the Graphic Layers exist.
