Watchdog ACPI Event
Note
In ACPI mode, it is not possible for a 'Watchdog ACPI Event' handler to directly restart or shutdown the operating system. For this reason, the
congatec BIOS will do one of the following:
For Shutdown: An over temperature notification is executed. This causes the operating systemto shut down in an orderly fashion.
For Restart: An ACPI fatal error is reported to the OS.
Additionally, the conga-TCA3 module does not support the watchdog NMI mode. COM Express type 6 modules do not support the PCI bus
and therefore the PCI_SERR# signal is not available. There is no way to drive a NMI to the processor without the presence of the PCI_SERR#
PCI bus signal.
