Insert the new transfer roller.
When placing it, the green gear of
the roller should be positioned on
the left (A A A A ) as shown in the illus-
tration.

Close the transfer roller cover.

Take the gloves off. Leave the pa-
per tray pulled out and the front
cover opened, go to P.111 "Re-
placing the fusing unit".
Replacing the fusing unit
R CAUTION:
• The fusing unit becomes very
hot. When installing the new fus-
ing unit, turn off the printer and
wait about 30 minutes. After that,
install the new fusing unit. Not
waiting for the unit to cool down
can result in a burn.

Push the brown fusing unit lock
levers.

Slide the fusing unit toward you
(A A A A ), and remove it from the print-
er (B B B B ) as shown in the illustra-
tion.

Note
Be careful not to drop the fusing
unit.

Align the new fusing unit with
the mark on the printer (A A A A ), and
then slide it in (B B B B ) as shown in
the illustration.
