7 SYSTEM MODE FOR SERVICE PERSONS AND SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

7.1 OUTLINE OF SYSTEM MODE

The printer enters the system mode when the following operation is performed when the printer power is off.
Turn on the printer while holding down the [FEED] and [POWER] keys at the same time.
The system mode is intended for performing self-test, parameter setting, and other settings.
When the top menu is displayed, the firmware version is shown on the right side of the title.
The language displayed on the panel is English when other language is selected in language setting (7.4.4
Language Setting).
The key operations for the system mode are described below.
Key operations follow Section 6.1 LIST BOX WITH SCROLLBAR.

Used to shutdown the printer.
Used to perform self diagnosis, print out the result, check for the print
head broken elements.
Used to set the parameters for each printer movement.
Used to set the parameters for each printer function.
Used to fine adjust the printer mechanism position and sensor.
Used to conduct test print by printing slant lines, characters and
barcodes.
Used to display the ambient temaprature and print head temparature,
and adjust each level of the media sensor.
Used to clear the maintenance counter and parameters.
