Table 4-5 describes the Onboard Peripherals parameters. Settings in boldface are the
default and suggested parameter settings.

Serial port 1 Enables or disables the serial port

Base address Sets the I/O base address of the serial
port
IRQ Sets the IRQ (interrupt request)
channel of the serial port
Parallel port Enables or disables the parallel port
Base address Sets the I/O base address of the
parallel port.
IRQ Sets the interrupt request (IRQ)
channel of the parallel port
Note: If you install an add-on card
that has a parallel port whose
address conflicts with the onboard
parallel port, a warning appears on
the screen. Check the parallel port
address of the add-on card and
change the address to one that does
not conflict.
