10.8 Temperature probe calibration
Calibration
Calibrate the temperature probe as follows:

Action
Set the circulating bath temperature to the batch operating temperature
(the middle calibration point).
Note:
The batch operating temperature is the crucial temperature of the process.
Verify that the temperature probe is correctly connected to the I/O Cabinet.
Set the standard probe of the temperature calibration instrument and the
temperature probe into the circulating bath, no more than 20 mm apart.
Make sure that the temperature probe is inserted into the liquid by at least
7.5 cm.
Note:
Do not wet the probe connector.
Wait until the system reaches the equilibrium.
Record the data for both the temperature probe and the standard probe as
follows:
The data for the temperature probe is displayed on the local control

software home screen.
If the probe contains two temperature sensors, record the temperature
•
for both sensors.
The standard probe temperature is displayed by the temperature indica-
•
tor on the standard probe.
