Possible causes
Temperature probe has failed.
Temperature probe is not inserted
into the disposable bag.
Possible causes
Load cell is disconnected.
Load cell has failed (physically
or electrically broken).
Physical obstruction of load cell
motion.
Jacking bolt is engaged.
The configuration on the load
cell transmitter is incorrect or
corrupt.
Load cells require calibration.
9 Troubleshooting
Corrective action
1 Switch to the second input of the
temperature probe if possible.
2 If the second input is not present
or is not working, replace the
probe.
Insert temperature probe into the
thermowell.
Corrective action
Connect the load cell.
Contact the metrology depart-
ment to perform a cornering test
and determine which load cell
has failed.
Verify that the mixer vessel legs
are free of any obstructions or
blocking objects.
Disengage the jacking bolt. See
Disengage jacking bolts, on
page 135 for instructions.
Note:
If the mixer was filled while the
jacking bolt was engaged, the
weight measurements of the
batch are not accurate.
Contact your GE representative.
Schedule the calibration of the
load cells.
