Problem
The tubing is
moving in the
pump head.
The pump drive
head is not turn-
ing.
The tubing is worn
out.

The information presented in this section is relevant for jacketed XDM and XDUO mixers.
Troubleshooting for most common TCU models is described below. If your TCU model is not described,
contact your GE representative for help with troubleshooting.

Possible causes
The tubing clamps in the pump head
are not properly set for the installed
tubing.
The tubing is not fastened in the pump
head (pump model 313).
Loose wiring

Failed motor
•
Broken gearbox
•
All tubing used in the pumps will wear
out with use over time.
The system is in E-STOP state.
An interlock is active. See Section 2.4

9 Troubleshooting
Corrective action
Tighten the tubing clamps in the pump
head.
Adjust the biting elements using the
thumbscrews on the lower right and left
sides of the pump.
Contact your GE representative for re-
placement.
Move the section of worn out tubing to
the left or right.
Use only tubing rated for use in peri-
staltic pump head.
Verify that the cause of the E-STOP
condition is eliminated, and clear the E-
STOP. Try to use the pumps again.
Clear the interlock condition.
