To remove recoil spring 12, hold plate 8 with the
arbor ofa press having a capacity of at least 3 tons
(7000 Ib) as shown, unscrew four bolts, and
gradually back offthe press arbor to letthe spring
expand: Take out the plate, spring retainer 11
and spring.
