■ PIN code
You can set up a security code called a PIN code for your docomo
nano UIM card. At the time of subscription, the code is set to "0000",
which you can change by yourself.
PIN code is a 4- to 8-digit security number (code) that must be
entered for user authentication to prevent unauthorized use of
docomo nano UIM card by a third party every time you install the
docomo nano UIM card into the terminal or when the terminal is
powered on. Entering the PIN code enables making/receiving calls
and terminal operation.

For using the docomo nano UIM card that you have used on
another terminal by inserting to this terminal, use the set PIN code
on the former terminal. If you did not change the setting, the code
is "0000".

If you enter a wrong PIN code 3 times consecutively, the PIN code
is locked (PUK lock) and cannot be used anymore. In this case,
unlock with "PUK". Unlock the PIN code before setting new PIN
code.
PUK code

The PUK code is an 8-digit number for canceling the locked PIN code.
The PUK code cannot be changed by yourself.

If you failed to enter PUK code 10 times consecutively, the docomo
nano UIM card is locked. Please contact a docomo Shop.
d ACCOUNT

d ACCOUNT is an ID/password that is necessary for using services
provided by DOCOMO such as d POINT, dmarket, etc. on
smartphones, tablets, PCs.

Setting screen unlock method
Set a unlock method for the screen lock when turning the power on,
or displaying the screen by canceling sleep mode

From the Home screen, [Settings]
[Screen lock]

Select an item
None : Set to not display the lock screen.
Touch : Set to unlock by tapping the icon.
Pattern : Set to unlock by a pattern connecting at least 4 points.
PIN : Set to unlock by a security code (4- to 16-digit number).
Password : Set to unlock by a password (which consists of 4 to
16 alphanumeric/symbols).

When "Pattern", "PIN", or "Password" is selected, follow the
onscreen instructions to set notifications on the lock screen.
Locking the screen
Screen lock is activated when you set the unlock method (
other than "None".

The display backlight turns off to go into sleep mode, and then
the screen lock is activated.

When you do not operate the terminal for the time specified in
"Sleep" ( → P.91), the terminal goes into sleep mode automatically
and then the screen lock is activated.
