Cutting Unit

The entire Rider series is equipped with a front-
mounted cutting unit in order to mow efficiently
even in confined areas.
Rider ProFlex AWD can be supplied with the
Combi 122 cutting unit. Combi 112 or older types
of cutting unit cannot then be attached without
changing the drive belt. If you want to change from
a Combi 112 to a Combi 122, the drive belt must
also be replaced with a longer one.
Combi 122
Rider Pro 18 AWD only has a mechanical
equipment lift while ProFlex AWD has both
mechanical and hydraulic lift.
The cutting unit can be raised or lowered in two

Rider Pro 18 AWD is supplied with cutting unit
Combi 94XP. Combi 103 or Combi 112 can also be
used.
The Combi unit functions as a BioClip unit when a
BioClip plug is fitted, but can be changed to rear
ejection by removing the BioClip plug.
Removal of BioClip Plug
via the three-point link, will alter the belt adjuster
so that the drive belt is tensioned and the blades
begin to rotate. When lifting the unit, the spring on
the forward directed pressure rod will apply the
blade brake on the belt pulley. The blades are
braked and stop sooner. When the unit is raised,
the chain link bolt activates the safety system
microswitch.
See "Adjusting the Lever Housing" on page 74 for
adjustment instructions.
