Replacing Hydraulic Tank's Suction Filter
Replace the hydraulic tank's suction filter
when changing the oil in the hydraulic and
drive systems.
Remember cleanliness. Follow the
instructions in the hydraulic system chapter.
1.
Remove the transmission cover.
2.
Clean the top of the hydraulic tank,
especially around the cover for the
suction filter.
3.
Swing out the rear carriage to the right
so that the suction filter clears the
muffler.
4.
Remove the tank cap. Empty the
hydraulic tank through the bottom plug.
5.
Release the suction line from the top of
the hydraulic tank.
6.
Remove the four screws on the top of the
hydraulic tank holding the suction filter
unit and lift up the suction filter unit.
7.
Replace the filter on the suction filter
unit.
8.
Check the inside of the hydraulic tank.
Use a lamp. There must be no visible
contamination.
9.
Guide the seal on the suction filter unit
and refit it on the tank. Turn the bevelled
side towards the filling hole.
10. Connect the suction line to the hydraulic
tank.
11. Fit the bottom plug in the hydraulic tank.
12. Fill the hydraulic tank to the correct level.
13. Start the machine and bleed the
hydraulic system of excess air according
to "Bleeding the Hydrostatic and
Hydraulic Systems" on page 71.
14. Refill to the correct level.
15. Fit the transmission cover
