The Smart Array P71 1m Controller also includes an external capacitor pack (not shown), which
provides approximately 80 seconds of backup power for the DDR cache memory. This provides
sufficient duration to transfer the cached data from DDR memory to flash memory, where the data
remains indefinitely or until a controller retrieves the data.
Smart Array P71 1m controller board runtime LED
The Smart Array P71 1m Controller board has one Controller Heartbeat LED (CR6). This LED flashes
every two seconds to indicate controller health.
