20.2 iTN2100-8SU-S

20.2.1 Appearance and functions

Appearance
The iTN2100-8SU-S card can be used to multiplex or de-multiplex 8 CWDM wavelength
optical signals. The 8-wavelength CWDM system can efficiently use the bandwidth of the
fiber to prevent laying fibers repeatedly. This helps save costs. The 8 wavelength channels
are 1471 nm, 1491 nm, 1511 nm, 1531 nm, 1551 nm, 1571 nm, 1591 nm, and 1611 nm.

20.2.2 Slots

The iTN2100-8SU-S can be plugged into slots 1–5 and 8–12 on the iTN2100.
Support multiplexing/de-multiplexing 8 CWDM standard wavelength channels (1471
nm, 1491 nm, 1511 nm, 1531 nm, 1551 nm, 1571 nm, 1591 nm, and 1611 nm). Each
wavelength channel can be used to multiplexing/de-multiplexing optical signals.
Be applied to dual-fiber and single-fiber CWDM network, providing flexible
networking applications.
Plug and play. The card is available for services after being inserted into 6-U chassis and
being properly connected with fibers, without being configured.
Work properly after power off. The internal passive optical module in the card works
properly after the card is powered off. Therefore, ensure that the card can finish
multiplexing/de-multiplexing of optical wavelength.
Support the NView NNM system, helping view card configurations.
Support transmitting services transparently, bringing no limit on the speed and frame
format of the accessed optical signals.
Consume less power, without configuring the fan.
