11.1 iTN2100-TSU

11.1.1 Appearance and functions

Appearance
The iTN2100-TSU is a clock card used by the iTN2100. It can work with the iTN2100-
NTU-4GF to provide clock synchronization.
The iTN2100-TSU supports synchronous Ethernet and 1588 V2 time synchronization
protocol, and provides the external clock synchronization interface.

11.1.2 Slots

The iTN2100-TSU can be plugged into slots 1, 5 or 8 on the iTN2100. Only one iTN2100-
TSU card is available for the iTN2100.
Support manual switch, force switch, and manual lockout of clock source.
Support clock source auto-recovery.
Support OC and BC modes.
Support unicast, multicast, L2, or L3 PTP packet encapsulation modes.
Support Onestep and Twostep.
Support E2E and P2P path delay measure modes.
Support modifying the interval for sending Sync packets, Delay-Req packets, and
Announce packets.
Support delay compensation, providing PTP interface path asymmetric delay
compensation and 1PPS+TOD interface input or output cable delay compensation.
Support BMC algorithm.
Support protection switching, providing 1PPS+TOD reference source protection
switching and trace path protection switching.
Support Slave-Only in OC mode.
Support setting the frequency reference of time synchronization to EEC clock source
(1588+Sync) or obtaining the clock by controlling local PLL through 1588 V2 protocol.
Support translating PTP interface states: Master, Slave, and Passive.
Support 2-way 2 MHz or 2 Mbit/s clock signal input and output, and 2-way 1PPS clock
input.
Support TDM clock operating modes of the Layer 3 clock: free oscillation, sustain, and
lockout.
Support TDM clock metrics that meet G.813 requirements.
Support detecting and reporting faults on all clock input sources.
Support two 2 MHz or 2 Mbit/s external synchronization interfaces (120Ω balanced
interfaces).
Support two 1PPS+TOD interfaces for configuring time signal input and output.
Support one 1PPS interface for configuring time signal input and output.
Support protection, electrical level change, and impedance matching of external clock
signals.
Support SSM signal processing and clock recovery of 2 Mbit/s signals.
Support 2 MHz and 2 Mbit/s signal templates that meet the G.703 requirements.
