13.6.1 Appearance and functions

Appearance
The OPCOM3500E-EOP-FXE1× 8 is an optical interface EoPDH protocol converter of
the iTN2100.

13.6.2 Slots

The OPCOM3500E-EOP-FXE1× 8 can be plugged into slots 1–5 and 8–12 on the iTN2100.
Convert eight ways of 100BASE-FX Ethernet signals input from the front panel through
EoPDH, encapsulate them into E1 signals, send them to the aggregation card through
the backplane, and then transmit them to the SDH network through cross connection.
The eight 100BASE-TX interfaces correspond to eight E1 channels respectively and
independently.
E1 interfaces support framed and unframed modes. You can configure them through
command lines or NMS.
Support local or remote loopback of E1 links.
Support configurable clock modes: local clock or line clock.
Support E1 link BERT which is optional.
Support statistics of sent frames, received frames, package traffic, number of error
packages on each E1 interface.
Support Automatical Laser Shutdown (ALS).
Support LPR detection.
Provide complete alarm and performance monitoring.
Support hot swapping.
