Ground cable 4.1 Fiber 4.1.1 Introduction The ISCOM6860 can use the Single-mode Fiber (SMF) and Multi-mode Fiber (MMF). The two kind of fibers are the same in appearance but different in color. The SMF is yellow while the MMF is orange.
The appearance of various types of fiber connector and the methods of inserting and plugging the fiber connector are as below: LC/PC fiber connector Figure 4-1 shows the LC/PC fiber connector used by the ISCOM6860. Figure 4-1 LC/PC fiber connector Raisecom Technology Co., Ltd.
To remove the fiber, press the latch on the connector, pull the fiber connector inward slightly, and pull the fiber out. SC/PC fiber connector Figure 4-2 shows the SC/PC fiber connector used by the ISCOM6860. Figure 4-2 SC/PC fiber connector When connecting or removing the SC/PC fiber connector, align the connector with the optical interface, and do not rotate the fiber.
Connect the uplink electrical interface of the ISCOM6860 or other devices. Connect the SNMP interface of the ISCOM6860 and the NMS network. Ethernet service interfaces of the ISCOM6860 are adaptive to both straight-through cable mode and crossover cable mode. Make Ethernet cables as required on site.
2-m cable, the cable name will be configured to CBL-ETH-RJ45/RJ45-2m/RoHS. 4.3 Configuration cable 4.3.1 Introduction The configuration cable is used to connect the Console interface of the ISCOM6860 to a PC. Therefore, you can manage the ISCOM6860 through the PC. Raisecom Technology Co., Ltd.
Raisecom ISCOM6860 (A) Hardware Description 4 Cables 4.3.2 Appearance The configuration cable connector used by the ISCOM6860 is a DB9 connector and a RJ45 connector, as shown in Figure 4-6. Figure 4-6 Configuration cable 4.3.3 Wiring Figure 4-7 lists PINs and wiring of the RS-232 Console interface and RJ45 Ethernet interface.
4.4.1 Introduction The DC power cable transmits -48 VDC power to the -48 VDC power supply interface of the ISCOM6860, and supplies power for other cards in the chassis. 4.4.2 Appearance A DC power cable is composed of a DC connector and a coaxial cable, as shown in Figure 4-8.
4.5 Ground cable Connecting the ground cable properly is an important guarantee for lightning protection, anti-electric shock, and anti-interference. The ISCOM6860 must be grounded with the ground cable correctly during installation, which helps to avoid personal injury and equipment damage.
Outer diameter: ≤ 6.1 mm Cross-section area of the 5–4AWG (16–25 mm conductive wire The ISCOM6860 is delivered without the ground cable. You need to prepare one or make the ground cable on site if needed. Raisecom Technology Co., Ltd.
