Measuring system check list
Prior to commissioning, check the functionality of the guideway:
•
For proper installation of the guideway, see „6 Installation" on page 18.
•
For system accuracy and push force, see „7 Completing installation" on page
30 and „7.7 Checking the results of the installation" on page 55.
•
For supply of lubricant, see „7.7 Checking the results of the installation" on page 55.
•
For removal of the corrosion protection and oiling the guideway, see „5.4 Corrosion
protection" on page 15 and „6.3 Handling guide rails" on page 19.
•
For initial lubrication, see „7.4 Lubrication" on page 49 and „7.7 Checking the
results of the installation" on page 55.
•
For installation and positioning of guideway cover strips, see „7.2 Installing the
screw cover" on page 31 and „7.7 Checking the results of the installation" on
page 55.
•
For wiper functionality, see „7.7 Checking the results of the installation" on page 55.
•
For positioning and functionality of bellows, see „7.6 Installing a FBM/FBB bellows -

Check the functionality of the measuring system:
•
Mount carriage with housing onto the guideway so that the recess for the read
head is located on the side of the guideway with the measuring scale. The scale
side can be identified by the reference mark.
•
For battery activation in the case of AMSABS, see „5.7 Preparing the measuring
system for installation" on page 16.
•
For correct installation of the read head in the housing, see „6.5 Handling measuring
systems" on page 21.
•
For proper laying of cables and electronics box, see „7.5 Laying the electronics

•
For connection with the controller, see „7.5 Laying the electronics housing and
cables" on page 52.
•
LED for the operating state display (lights up green after switching on the controller).

Check the parametrisation of the controller with respect to the measuring system.
