13) Attach the hook-and-loop closures for the tension belts to the lap belt and determine the opti­
mal length of the tension belts (see fig. 17).
NOTICE! Make sure that the angle of the springs does not exceed 20° when the ten­
sion belts are tensioned.
14) Shorten the length of the tension belts with scissors (see fig. 18).
5.3 Application
CAUTION
Direct skin contact with the product
Skin irritation due to chafing or sweat formation
Do not wear this product directly on the skin.
CAUTION
Incorrect or excessively tight application
Risk of local pressure and constriction of blood vessels and nerves due to improper or exces­
sively tight application
Ensure that the brace is applied properly and fits correctly.
NOTICE
Use of a worn or damaged product
Limited effectiveness
Instruct the patient to inspect the product for proper functionality, wear, and damage prior to
each use.
Advise the patient that the product may not be used if the product or part of the product
exhibits signs of wear (e.g. cracks, deformation, poor fit) or damage.
1) Place the brace frame in such a way that the sacral pad comes to be positioned on the
sacrum, and the two shoulder pads below the shoulder blades (see fig. 8).
2) Evenly pull the two abdominal strap closures to the front and close them (see fig. 19).
3) Evenly tighten the tension belts and attach them to the positions identified during the fitting by
means of hook-and-loop closures (see fig. 20).
5.4 Cleaning
NOTICE
Use of improper cleaning agents
Damage to the product due to use of improper cleaning agents
Only clean the product with the approved cleaning agents.
Clean the brace regularly:
Remove the textile component from the brace.
Close the hook-and-loop closures.
Wash the textile component in warm water at 30 °C/104 °F with a standard mild detergent.
Rinse thoroughly.
Allow to air dry. Do not expose to direct heat (e.g. from the sun, an oven or radiator).
6 Disposal
Dispose of the product in accordance with national regulations.
