Conformal coating. In accordance with EN 60079-11 (Explosive Atmospheres –
Part 11: Equipment Protection by Intrinsic Safety "i") a single coat of conformal
coating has been drop-applied to required components to adequately prevent
conductive parts from protruding through the coating.
In the new 3500563-0009 modem unit, the conformal coating is no longer required.
