Handling care.
Please note the following points when using the open circuit detection function.
Open circuit detection setting can only be carried out by using a hand-held terminal. Setting cannot be
carried out using a PLC.
This function detects an open circuit only when the output is OFF. Therefore if the output is turned ON, an
open circuit cannot be detected.

Status Descriptions
Power supply for control and input is OFF, or output device is
OFF
OFF.
Output device is ON.
Green light ON
Output is short circuited.
Red light ON
Either of the following:
Flashing red
All LEDs flashing Component failure inside the digital output unit.
Stop using the product and contact SMC.
