Local Host Table — Add Host

This line is used to provide abbreviated help on the currently selected field.

Screen 6-8. Add Host
This screen is used to add hosts. When you add a host using this screen, after
you press the
positioned at the beginning of the new entry.
Field Name Description
IP Address IP address of locally known host. Maximum field size = 15
characters.
Host Name Name of locally known host. Maximum field size = 20
characters.
Aliases Additional names associated with this host. Maximum field
size = 35 characters. Multiple aliases are separated by
spaces. Entries starting with a "#" sign are comments. A "#"
may be placed anywhere in the filed, but anything following
the "#" is considered a comment and ignored.
