Bleeding air from cylinders
Run the engine at low idling, and extend and retract each
cylinder 4 - 5 times without operating it to the end of its stroke.
(Stop approx. 100 mm before the end of the stroke)
Next, operate each cylinder to the end of its stroke 3 - 4 times.
After this, operate each cylinder 4 - 5 times to the end of its
stroke to completely bleed the air.
If, at first, the engine is run at high speed or the cylinder is
operated to the end of its stroke, the air inside the cylinder may
cause damage to the piston packing or other parts.
Bleeding air from swing motor
Run the engine at low idling, loosen air bleed plug 0, and when
no more cloudy white oil flows out from air bleed plug 0,
tighten the plug.
Tightening torque: 70 + IO Nm (7.0 k 1.0 kgm, 51 & 7 Ibft)
When doing this, do not operate the swing.
Run the engine at low idling, and swing 2 or more times slowly

If the air is not bled from the swing motor, the bearings of the
motor may be damaged.

Start operations
After completion of bleeding the air, stop the engine, and wait
for at least 5 minutes before starting operations. In this way, the air
bubbles are removed from the oil inside the hydraulic tank.
l Check for any leakage of oil, and wipe off any oil that has been
spilled.

Bleeding air from travel motor
Run the engine at low idling, loosen air bleed plug 0, and when
no more cloudy white oil flows out, tighten the olug.
Tightening torque: 9.0 + 1 Nm (0.9 +. 0.1 kgm, 6.5 + 0.7 Ibft)
Keep the engine running at low idling, and swing the work
equipment 90" to bring it to the side of the track.
Jack up the machine until the track is raised slightly from the
ground. Rotate the track under no load for 2 minutes. Repeat this
