Camera Functions

To operate your front-facing zoom camera, use the buttons on the rear of the camera,
as described below.
Auto Zoom. Zoom in to 8x (Nite-Watch and 10x HD Optical Zoom) or 3x (HD
Digital Zoom), pause for several seconds, then return to a wide-angle view. This
function is designed to zoom in on a license plate.
Auto Focus (Nite-Watch and 10x HD Optical Zoom). Manually initiate a focus
operation. When the camera is first powered on or a Zoom function is used, the
camera will automatically focus on the current scene. However, if at any time the
focus does not appear to be perfectly clear, you can try using this button to improve
the focus.
Minimum/Maximum Zoom (HD Digital Zoom only). Toggle between minimum and
maximum zoom.
Zoom In. Zoom in up to 144x (Nite-Watch), 120x (10x HD Optical Zoom), or 4x (HD
Digital Zoom). To use this feature, press and hold the Zoom In button, then release once
you achieve the desired view.
Zoom Out. To use this feature, press and hold the Zoom Out button, then release
once you achieve the desired view.
Backlight. This function can help reveal scene details when the camera is facing into
the sun.
Nite-Watch. When enabled, this feature will allow you to see more details in the
dark than you could while in the normal operating mode. The following settings are
available for the three camera models:



NOTE: The Nite-Watch feature is designed to be used for surveillance purposes while
the vehicle is stationary. If you use Nite-Watch while the vehicle is moving, objects
may appear blurred.
Light. Toggles the camera buttons' backlight on/off. By default, camera buttons will
be illuminated each time the system is powered on. However, you may wish to turn
these lights off occasionally, such as in a "lights out" situation.

Nite-Watch. NW4, NW8, NW16, and NW32.
HD Digital Zoom. Same as above.
10x HD Optical Zoom. Settings are fully automatic when Nite-Watch is
activated.
