CAUTION
Risk of damage to electronic components. Excessive heating with a hot air gun destroys the electronic
components. Loosen bonded components mechanically.
NOTICE
Risk of damage to electronic components. Dust and moisture may damage the electronics. Always
seal the electronics on the E-MAG knee joint before sanding or performing other work on the orthosis.
INFORMATION
The casing and the electronics cable should be removed when working on the orthosis. In order to
do so, disconnect the cable directly on the E-MAG knee joint. Proceed as described in Figure 51 – 54.
Screw the casing onto the transfemoral socket. Finally, insert the battery and verify all functions.
Provide the user with the instructions for use and the quick start guide and explain the functions
of the E-MAG knee joint upon delivery. Be sure to point out the semi-annual maintenance interval.
After fully charging and subsequently installing the battery, the system is ready for operation.
