W hen program m ing a garage
door opener, the door moves
up or down.
W hen program m ing or op er­
ating the rem ote control make
sure there is no possibility of
anyone being harm ed by the
m oving door._________________
Note:
Certain types of garage door
openers are incom patible with the
integrated opener. If you should
experience difficulties with pro­
gram m ing the transm itter, contact
your authorized M ercedes-Benz
dealer or call M ercedes-Benz

Program ming or reprogram m ing
the rem ote control:
1. Turn electronic key in steering
lock to position 1 or 2.
2. Press and hold one button of
the remote control located on
the sun visor until its control
light begins to flash at a rate of
about once a second. Continue
holding down the button.
Note:
The light blinks im m ediately if
the remote control is being
program m ed for the first tim e, or
if its m em ory was previously
erased. If you are reprogram ­
ming a previously used button,
the light will flash after about
20 seconds.
3. Hold end opposite to battery of
portable remote control against
the sun visor transm itter to be
program m ed. W hile still holding
down the button on the trans­
mitter on the sun visor, press
down the button on your port­
able remote control, until the
sun visor rem ote control light
starts to flash rapidly. This
m eans that the integrated
rem ote control has accepted the
frequency and code of the
portable transm itter.
4. If you w ish, repeat the proce­
dure fo r each rem aining button.
Operation of rem ote control:
1. Turn electronic key in steering
lock to position 1 or 2.
2. Select and press the appro­
priate button (1, 2 or 3) to
activate the rem ote controlled
device. The rem ote control
transm itter continues to send
the signal as long as the button
is pressed - up to 20 seconds.
Erasing the rem ote control
memory:
1. Turn electronic key in steering
lock to position 1 or 2.
2. Sim ultaneousy holding down
buttons 1 and 3 fo r approxi­
m ately 20 seconds, or until the
control light blinks rapidly, will
erase the codes o f all three
channels.
