Opening the Trunk
A m inimum height clearance of
5.9 ft (1.8 m) is required to open
the trunk lid.
Press transm it button H>1 until
trunk lid is open.
Important!
Do not place rem ote control in
trunk since trunk is locked again
when closing the lid.
Note:
If the trunk w as previously locked
separately, it will rem ain locked
(see Index).

and Sliding/Pop-Up Roof from
Outside
Aim transm itter eye (5) of remote
control at door receivers (6 or 7).
To open:
C ontinue to press transm it button
r a after unlocking car.
The w indow s and sliding/pop-up
roof begin to open after approx.
1 second.
To interrupt opening procedure,
release button.
To close:
C ontinue to press transm it button
K*H after locking car.
The w indow s and sliding/pop-up
roof begin to close after approx.
1 second.
To interrupt closing procedure,
release button.
W arning!
Never operate the w indow s or
sliding/pop-up roof if there is
the possibility of anyone being
harm ed by the opening or
closing procedure.
In case the procedure causes
potential d anger, the pro ce­
dure can be im m ediately halted
by releasing the rem ote control
button. To reverse d ir ection of
m ovem ent press F M for
opening or for closing.
Note:
If the w indow s and sliding/
pop-up roof cannot be operated
autom atically by pressing the
transm it button o f the rem ote
control then it may be necessary to
change the batteries in the trans­
m itter (if ok, battery check lamp in
transm itter will light briefly when
transm itting), or to synchronize the
electronic main key, see Electronic
m ain key, in Index.
