Antitheft Alarm System
The antitheft alarm is autom atically
armed or disarm ed with the remote
control or any of your vehicle's
m echanical keys by locking or
unlocking the driver's door or the
trunk.
A blinking lam p (1) indicates that
the alarm is armed.
Operation
Once the alarm system has been
arm ed, the exterior vehicle lamps
will flash and the horn will sound
interm ittently when someone:
• opens a door,
• opens the trunk,
• opens the hood.
The alarm will last approxim ately
2 1/2 m inutes in the form of blinking
exterior lam ps. A t the sam e time
an additional horn will sound inter­
m ittently for 60 seconds, pause for
30 seconds, and repeat for another
60 seconds. The alarm will stay on
even if the activating elem ent (a
door, for exam ple) is im m ediately
closed.
Note:
W e recom m end that you carry the
electronic reserve key with m ech­
anical key with you and keep it in a
safe place (e.g. yo ur w allet) so that
it is alw ays handy. N ever leave the
electronic reserve key in the
vehicle.
