Sliding/Pop-Up Roof (optional)
1 to slide roof open
2 to slide roof closed
3 to raise roof at rear
4 to lower roof at rear
Turn electronic key in steering lock
to position 1 or 2.
The switch is illum inated when the
exterior lam ps are sw itched on
(except standing lam ps).
An additional screen can be slid
into the roof opening to guard
against sun rays. W hen sliding the
roof open, the screen will also
retract.
W arning!
W hen closing the sliding/
pop-up roof, be sure that there
is no dan g er of anyone being
harm ed by the closing
procedure.
Notes:
The sliding/pop-up roof can be
opened or closed m anually should
an electrical m alfunction occur,
refer to E m ergency Operation in
Index.
The sliding/pop-up roof can also be
closed with the m echanical key or
infrared rem ote control while
locking the vehicle doors or trunk
(see C entral Locking System in
Index).
