Standing Lamps
When the vehicle is parked on the
street the standing lamps (right or
left side parking lamps) can be
turned on, making the vehicle more
visible to passing vehicles.
The standing lamps cannot be
operated with the electronic key in
steering lock position 2.
Note:
With the electronic key removed
and the driver's door open, a w arn­
ing sounds if the vehicle's exterior
lam ps (except standing lamps) are
not switched off.
Fog lam ps will operate with the
parking lam ps and/or the low beam
headlam ps on. Fog lam ps should
only be used in conjunction with
low beam headlam ps. C onsult your
State or Province M otor Vehicle
R egulations regarding allowable
lam p operation.
Fog lam ps are autom atically
sw itched off when the e xte rior lamp
switch is turned to position M
D aytim e R unning Lam ps
(Canada only)
W hen the engine is running and
the selector lever is in a driving
position, the low beam (includes
parking lamps, side m arker lamps,
taillam ps and license plate lamps)
are autom atically sw itched on.
W hen shifting from a driving po­
sition to position " N" or " P", the low
beam sw itches off (2 seconds
delay).
For nighttim e driving the exterior
lam p s w itch should be turned to
position E S to perm it activation of
the high beam headlam ps.
