6. After the engine has started,
rem ove jum pe r cables by
exactly reversing the above
installation sequence, starting
with the last connection made
first. W hen rem oving each
clam p, m ake sure that it does
not touch any other m etal while
the other end is still attached.
Im portant!
A discharged battery can freeze at
approx. +14°F (-1 0 °C ). In that
case, it m ust be thaw ed out before
jum per cables are used. A frozen
battery can explode and cause
personal injury.
Jum per cable specifications:
M inimum cable cross-section of
25 m m 2 or approx. 2 AW G
M axim um length of 11.5 ft.
(3.5 m).

Towing the Vehicle
The rear towing eye is located at
the right, below the bumper. The
front towing eye is located on the
passenger side behind a cover in
the bum per panel.
C over removal: Insert finger in
recess on left end of cover and pull
cover out.
C over installation: Engage cover at
top right and press cover in
securely.
W e recom m end that the vehicle be
transported using flat bed
equipm ent. This m ethod is pre­
ferable to other types of towing.
The vehicle may be tow ed with all
w heels on the ground and the
selector lever in position " N" for
distances up to 30 m iles (50 km)
and at a speed not to exceed
30 mph (50 km /h). T he electronic
key m ust be in steering lock
position 2.
To positively avoid a possibility of
dam age to the transm ission, how ­
ever, we recom m end to disconnect
the drive shaft at the rear axle drive
flange on any tow ing beyond a
short tow to a nearby garage.
Do not tow with sling-type equip­
ment. Tow ing with sling-type
equipm ent over bum py roads will
dam age radiator and supports.
Use w heel lift, dolly, or flat bed
equipm ent, with electronic key in
steering lock turned to position 0.
