Tires

The wheels furnished with the pulverizer are designed for
use of 9.5L x 15, 6 ply rib implement tires. The tires must
be inflated to 28 psi.
NOTE
Use of smaller or lighter tires will cause premature tire
failure and may cause an accident.
After several hours of use re-torque Wheel Bolts 90-100
Ft-Lbs. For tightening sequence, See Figure 4-1.

Lubrication

NOTE
It is good maintenance practice to check all bolts for
tightness during regular lubrications. Tighten any
fasteners that may have loosened during operations.
Your Brillion Pulverizer has been designed for a minimum
of daily lubrication. Grease the drawbar pivot pin once a
day when using the pulverizer. The roller axle trunnion
bearing require lubrication every 20 hours.
• Grease wheel hub zerk fittings every 50 hours of
Transport Operation.
The transport wheels should have the wheel hub
removed and repacked annually before each season
usage.
F-851R0
Do not lubricate machine while machine is in
motion. If any guards are removed for lubricating,
they must be replaced before operating.

Hydraulic System

The first time the machine is connected to the tractor, or
any time the hydraulic circuit is opened, air must be bled
from the system
Check the hydraulic lines and cylinders for leaks before
starting operation each day.
When the machine is not to be used for some time,
exposed portions of the cylinder rods should be cleaned
and covered with a thin coat of grease. This will prevent
corrosion which will damage cylinder seals.
Escaping fluid under pressure can be nearly
invisible and have enough force to penetrate the
skin causing serious injury. Use a piece of
cardboard, rather than your hands, to search for
suspected leaks. Wear protective gloves & safety
glasses or goggles when working with hydraulic
systems.
NOTE
Avoid the hazard of high pressure fluid by relieving the
pressure before disconnecting hydraulic lines.
• Check the hydraulic lines and cylinder for leaks before
starting operation each day.
• When machine is not used for some time, exposed
portions of the cylinder rod should be cleaned and
covered with a thick coat of grease. This will prevent
corrosion, which will damage seals.
