4. Set up process of a Solaris LD display

4.2 Set up process of a wall mounted Solaris LD display

Set up process:
1. The first stage in the process is the installation of the Solaris LD wall mount adapter . See procedure "Installation of the wall
mount adapter", page 27.
2. The second stage is the installation of the support structure. The framework of the support structure needs to be mounted upon
the previous installed Solaris LD wall mount adapter. See installation procedure "Installation of the support frame upon the
wall mount adapter", page 29. The support structure forms a solid backbone to support the other components of the Solaris LD
display.
3. The third stage in the process is the installation of the vertical precision frames upon the support structure. First the precision
frame in the middle of the support structure needs to be placed and then the neighboring frames. Note that the top and bottom
tiles have to be installed simultaneously with the neighboring frames because those tiles function as a caliber between the
frames. See chapter "Installation of the precision frames upon the Solaris LD support structure", page 34.
4. The next stage in the process is the installation of the peripherals as there are the mono phase power box and the Solaris D2
digitizer. Both peripherals must be installed at the same side of the display, recommended the right side when facing the
front of the display. See procedures "Installation of the mono phase power box", page 41, and "Installation of the Solaris D2
digitizer", page 42, for correct installation of the peripherals. Note that the digitizer can also be installed in a rack separated
from the display. In that case you can postpone the installation of the digitizer.
5. The next stage in the installation process is to fill up the Solaris LD display with tiles and realize the power and data cabling of
the tiles. See procedure "Installation of all the Solaris LD tiles with back access to the display", page 44. Note that the cabling
has to be realized simultaneously.
6. In case the Solaris D2 digitizer is not installed inside the display housing the digitizer must be installed in a rack now. Do not
forget to realize the source cabling on the input module(s) of the Solaris D2 digitizer. See chapter "Cabling diagrams of the
Solaris LD display", page 59.
7. In this stage the finishing touch can be applied to the Solaris LD display. This is done by framing the extremities of the display
by closing up the sides of the display using cladding parts. Cladding must be placed following next sequence:
a) "Installation of the top- , bottom- and side-cladding support brackets", page 49.
b) "Installation of the top and bottom cladding", page 50.
c) "Installation of the left and right side cladding", page 53.
8. The second last stage in the process is the installation of the Solaris LD software on the local PC. Refer to the "User guide" of
the Solaris LD software for installation instructions.
9. Finally the Solaris LD system is ready to start up. After energizing the Solaris LD display and the Solaris D2 digitizer, the system
can be controlled and content scheduled with the Solaris LD software. Refer to the "User guide" of the Solaris LD software
for more information on how to schedule content for the Solaris LD display.

4.3 Set up process of a hanging Solaris LD display

Set up process:
1. The first stage in the process is the installation of the support structure on the ceiling using a ceiling mount adapter. See procedure
"Installation of the support frame hanging on the ceiling", page 31. The support structure forms a solid backbone to support
the other components of the Solaris LD display.
2. The second stage in the process is the installation of the vertical precision frames upon the support structure.
4. The next stage in the installation process is to fill up the Solaris LD display with tiles and realize the power and data cabling of
the tiles. See procedure "Installation of all the Solaris LD tiles with back access to the display", page 44.
