9.3 Access to the power box and Solaris D2 digitizer

Necessary tools
5 mm hexagon Allen key.
How to access the Solaris D2 digitizer ?
1. Remove the four M6x25 hexagon socket button head cap screws (H) of the cover plate covering the digitizer. (image 9-3)
2. Remove the four M6x25 hexagon socket head cap screws (F) which fasten the digitizer internally to the frame of the display.
3. Slide the digitizer out of the Solaris LD housing.
Note: Incase the cables connected to the digitizer are too short, unplug the cables first.

Remove cover plates of the power box (P) and digitizer (Q).
How to access the power box ?
1. Remove the four M6x25 hexagon socket button head cap screws (H) of the cover plate covering the power box. See image 9-3.
2. Open the plastic cover door of the power box.

9.4 Replacing a Solaris D2 input module

There is no need to switch off the Solaris D2 digitizer to remove or insert an input module. The input modules
are hot swappable.
How to replace an input module of the Solaris D2 digitizer ?
1. Push in the release button underneath the input module which you want to remove. At the same time pull out the input module
by the grip handle. (image 9-4)
2. Gently slide in an other input module into the free input slot with the grip handle at the top.
3. Lock the module by pushing the input completely into the Solaris D2 digitizer until a definite click is audible.
