NOTE: When using Dynamic PAV, the assignments may be different from what you assigned using
Remote Web Console. This is because the WLM changes the assignments based on workload and
goals. In such a situation, this is normal and does not cause issues.

Verifying the status of devices per channel path

Use this task to verify the status of the devices for each CHP.
Procedure
1. For each CHP ID connected to the storage system, run the following command:
MVS Display Matrix
Using the following syntax:
D M=CHP(CHP_ID)
The following figure shows a sample output of this command.

2. Verify that the information shown by running the command matches the device status that you defined
when you created the IO configuration definition using HCD. If the information shown is incorrect,
redefine the devices to the host operating system.
