Incoming
Overview
When the firewall is enabled on a WAN or LAN interface, all incoming IP traffic is BLOCKED. However,
some IP traffic can be ACCEPTED by setting up filtering rules. The Incoming IP Filtering function
allows you to create a filter rule to identify incoming IP traffic by specifying a new filter name and at
least one condition.
Configuring the Ingoing IP Filtering function
Step 1
Choose Advanced Setup > Security > IP Filtering > Incoming to enter the configuration
page, and click Add.
Step 2
Filter Name: Enter a descriptive filtering name.
Step 3
IP Version: Select your IP protocol which can be IPv4 or IPv6.
Step 4
Protocol: Select a protocol for the filter rule.
Step 5
Source IP address[/prefix length]: Enter the internal IP address to be filtered.
Step 6
Source Port (port or port:port): Enter a port number or a range of ports used by
computers from external network to access your internal network.
Step 7
Destination IP address[/prefix length]: Enter the internal network IP address [eg: IP/Mask]
to be accessed by the specified computers from external network.
Step 8
Destination Port (port or port:port): Enter the port used by the internet service to be
restricted.
Step 9
Click Apply/Save.
