Operation
Since the AUTOaccurate sensor is inserted into the condenser from
above, the automatic mode DAA can only be operated with glassware
sets G3, G3 XL and G6.
✓ You are in the automatic mode DAA of the application "Extended".
✓ The AUTOaccurate sensor is installed.
➜ Tap "Heat" if you want to heat up the bath.
➜ Swipe the screen from right to left and
select either "single solvent distillation"
or "mixture distillation".
➜ Define the "intensity", i.e. the temper-
ature difference which will close the
vacuum valve.
➜ For mixture distillation, define the "final
pressure".
The value of the switch point Ts is
displayed after process start. Ts is the sum
of the measured basic temperature and the
indicated intensity.
➜ On the start page, tap "Start DAA".
✓ The AUTOaccurate sensor measures
the temperature in the condenser for at
least one minute.
✓ The message with the progress
indication appears, and the stopwatch
is started.
If you consider the temperature to be suffi-
ciently stable, you can end this measuring
process at any time by tapping on "Cancel".
The current actual value is adopted.
✓ If the basic temperature remains stable (± 0.5 °C) for 1 minute or if you have tapped
on "Cancel", the DAA control will start.
✓ The pressure is lowered until the temperature at the AUTOaccurate sensor has risen
by the specified intensity and has reached the switch point Ts. The vacuum valve will
be closed, vapor condenses in the condenser.
✓ The pressure regulation stops and will restart when the temperature falls below the
value of the switch point Ts by 0.5°C.
You can also regulate the pressure at any time by tapping on the
symbol "Maintain vacuum".
