Operation
Adjusting the heating bath temperature on the display:
✓ The base device is switched on.
✓ The heating bath is filled with oil or water.
✓ The evaporating flask is immersed in the heating bath.
➜ On the display, tap the indication of the bath temperature and enter the desired
value.
Adjusting the heating bath temperature with the rotary knob:
✓ The right rotary knob is assigned to
temperature adjustment.
➜ Set the desired temperature with the
right rotary knob.
➜ To start the heating, press the right
rotary knob or tap the "Heating bath"
symbol on the display.
✓ The right rotary knob and the heating
bath symbol in the control panel are lit
orange as long as heating is switched on.
➜ To switch off the heating, press the right rotary knob again or tap the "Heating bath"
symbol on the display.
✓ The orange illuminated ring flashes if there is still residual heat.
The frequency of flashing depends on the level of the current residual heat. The flashing
stops once the temperature drops below 50 °C.
If the vacuum setting is assigned to the right rotary knob, a message in
the control panel will indicate if the temperature due to residual heat is
above 50°C.
The display of the residual heat is only available when the device is
switched on and in standby mode. The residual heat is not displayed if
the device has been switched off via the main switch (ON/ OFF switch).
3. Setting the vacuum
Available pressure range:
The vacuum can be adjusted between 1 and 1400 [mbar], independent of the set safety
pressure. When switching on the vacuum control, a notice about the safety pressure is
displayed if needed.
✓ The base device is switched on.
Adjusting the vacuum on the display
➜ On the display, tap the pressure indication and enter the desired value.
➜ On the display, tap the "Start vacuum" symbol
✓ With valve-controlled pumps, the vacuum valve is switched on or off;
with speed-controlled pumps, the rotation speed is set to zero.
✓ The schematic drawing of the glass flask and the condenser are lit blue.
✓ If the vacuum setting is assigned to the right rotary knob, the ring will be lit blue.
➜ Tap the symbol on the display again to switch off the vacuum.
✓ The blue light will be extinguished.
