Operation
➜ Adjust the desired rotation speed via
the rotary knob.
Alternatively, you can also enter the
rotation speed setpoint on the control
panel:
➜ On the display, tap the indication
of the rotation speed and enter the
desired value.
➜ To start the rotation press the rotary
knob or tap the symbol "rotation" on
the display.
✓ The rotary knob and the symbol of the evaporating flask on the start page are lit
white as long as rotation is switched on.
➜ Switch off rotation by pressing the rotary knob again or by tapping the symbol on the
display again.
2. Setting the bath temperature
Temperature range available:
The temperature range can be set between 20 °C and 210 °C.
▪ Permissible temperature range when using water: 20 °C - 90 °C
▪ Permissible temperature range when using oil: 20 °C - 210 °C
Starting at a desired bath temperature of 75 °C, we recommend to
use polyethylene glycol or silicone oil as heating fluid (see also chapter
"Spare Parts and Accessories, Accessories").
Warning:
Risk of death! Risk of explosion!
If you use an unsuitable oil as heating bath fluid, the oil can ignite and
possibly cause an explosion.
➜ Use only oil with a flash point > 285 °C.
Warning:
Risk of scalding!
If you operate your device without a safety hood, severe scalding may
occur at high bath temperatures.
Be sure to wear protective clothing (safety glasses, protective
clothing, safety gloves) when you are near the device while a process
is running.
Caution:
Possible device damage
The heater responds very quickly. If the heating bath is empty
and heating is switched on, the heating bath may develop dark
discolorations.
Only switch heating on when the heating bath is sufficiently filled.
