Operating modes (status) of the safety modules

The following diagram illustrates the possible operating modes (status) of the MSI 100 and
MSI 200 safety modules as well as the possible status transitions. When there is a USB con-
nection to the PC, the module status is indicated on the far right in the status line of the
MSIsafesoft configuration software.
WARNING: Non-safe operation
The USB interface is not protected against ESD. If a there is a USB connection in place, the
safety module is in non-safe operation. The safety function cannot be properly executed.
Only use the USB connection for commissioning.
Disconnect the USB connection for regular operation.
