PROBLEM
Won't fill
Overfills
Drum won't rotate
Motor overheats
Won't drain
1. Check installation. Verify hot and cold water faucets are open and water pressure
is available.
2. Check inlet valves.
3. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
4. Check water connections to the washer and within the washer. Make sure water
supply hoses are unobstructed and not reversed. Check for plugged screens.
5. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
6. Check for an operating pressure switch and air hose for obstruction.
7. Check drain pump motor to ensure the pump is not running during a fill cycle, and
check the drain hose to ensure water is not siphoning out during a fill cycle.
8. Verify washer operation by running a Diagnostic Test or any cycle.
9. Check under Won't Dispense problem (on previous page).
1. Verify the washer is level.
2. Check pump drain system – this could indicate a failure to drain.
3. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
4. Check pressure switch hose for air leaks and cracks or loose connection at the
ends.
5. Check for an operating pressure switch. Verify pressure switch operation by
blowing air though the part and measuring the resistance.
6. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
7. Verify washer operation by running a Diagnostic Test or any cycle.
1. Check drive belt.
2. Check drive motor.
3. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
4. Check wire harness connections and perform continuity test on cables between
MCU and motor, and also between MCU and CCU.
5. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
6. Check the MCU by looking for operations of the drive motor.
1. Check drive motor.
2. Verify correct voltage supplied to washer.
3. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
4. Check wire harness connections.
5. Check drive belt.
6. Check for a clothing obstruction between the spin basket and the outer tub.
7. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
8. Check the MCU by looking for operations of the drive motor.
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Check wire harness connections.
3. Check drain pump operation.
4. Check drain pump motor.
5. Check that the drain hose and drain pump filter are clear of foreign objects and
hose is not crushed, kinked or pushed too far into a stand-pipe.
6. Make sure the drain is not trying to pump water higher than 96 inches from the
base of the washer.
7. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
8. Verify washer operation by running a Diagnostic Test or any cycle.
