Meaning
 Output channel
è
A type of passivation during which only the defective output channel is
passivated. The module remains integrated. Acknowledgment takes place
in CPX-FVDA-P2 via the process image
2.2.3 Bit pattern of the output and input data (F-user data).
è
Connection of switching points with normally different electrical potentials,
e.g. of 0 V and 24 V of one voltage source.
Switch in the 0 V current path of an output channel. Further information
(
 P-switch)
è
Safety function during which the output module CPX-FVDA-P2 switches off
all output channels or only the defective output channels (channel-wise
passivation), depending on the respective error. Instead of the pro-
grammed values, the so-called replacement values (0) are then effective.
Module passivation takes place automatically in case of, e.g.:
Safety-related communication errors (PROFIsafe)
Self-test errors
Channel errors, but only if the "channel-wise passivation" function is
switched off (
 Channel-wise passivation)
è
Once the module has been passivated, regular reintegration is required
(standard PROFIsafe acknowledgment process).
If channel-wise passivation is switched on, in case of a channel error only
the affected output channel is passivated. In order to depassivate the out-
put channel, an acknowledgment signal is required via the process image
2.2.3 Bit pattern of the output and input data (F-user data).
è
Discrete level that specifies the capability of a controller's safety-related
parts to perform a safety function under defined conditions. Categories and
5 performance levels (PL a to PL e) are defined in DIN EN ISO 13849-1.
Category (cat.) is the classification of a safety-related part of a control-
ler with respect to its resistance to errors and its subsequent beha-
viour in the error condition, which is achieved by the structural
arrangement of the parts, error detection and by their reliability.
PL a is the lowest and PL e the highest level.
Standard for fieldbus communication between controllers (PLC/IPC) and
devices in automation technology
(PROcess Field BUS
è
Fieldbus standard based on industrial Ethernet for communication between
controllers (PLC/IPC) and
devices (
