An RS-485 terminal lets you easily connect multiple telephone, card access and
elevator restriction controllers across a network. The RS-485 connection is
situated at the bottom middle of the main controller board and consists of two
separate terminals, each for an input and output. See Figure 29.

To alter the caller ID to show a new title on the Mircom TX3 Series, you need to edit each message line:

1. Scroll to the message line (Line-2 or Line-3).
2. Press the 1 key 9 times to enter an asterisk (*) if needed.
3. Edit the message content as desired to change the displayed title.
4. Press the telephone (enter) key to accept the changes.
5. Press the info key to return to the previous menu.
